Practical Tips for Dealing with CLI

Critical Limb Ischemia (CLI) is a very severe condition of PAD and needs comprehensive treatment by a vascular surgeon or vascular specialist. This condition will not improve on its own! There currently is no standard of care for patients diagnosed with Peripheral Arterial Disease advanced to Critical Limb Ischemia. Medicinal treatments have been tested but are not approved and they do not show great efficacy. Other treatments include surgery to replace or to expand the affected arteries and amputation.
Clinical research provides more options for possible treatment.
